Join History Cambridge for “Mayflower Memories,” a special program dedicated to preserving the vibrant history of East Cambridge, focused on the iconic Mayflower Poultry business and the surrounding neighborhood.
This event offers a unique opportunity to gather, connect, and share, as we celebrate the legacy of this cherished community landmark. The program will take place at our pop-up location at 625 Cambridge Street, the very building that housed Mayflower Poultry for decades, where we will have historical information and details about the building available for all to explore.
We are especially honored to be joined by members of the Silver family, the former long-time owners of the business, who will generously share their personal recollections and insights into operating Mayflower Poultry and their experiences in East Cambridge. We warmly invite all attendees to contribute their own memories, stories, and anecdotes about the business, Cambridge Street, and the neighborhood to ensure these important community memories are documented for future generations.

L-R: Paul Noyovitz, Paula Silver, Marieke Van Damme, Judy Silver, Laurel Silverman, Stuart Silverman. December 2025.
The East Cambridge History Center is made possible with the generous support of the Cambridge Community Foundation and Cambridge Savings Charitable Foundation. Thank you!
