Visit the headquarters of History Cambridge!

History Cambridge is entering a bold new era. As we prepare to sell our long-time headquarters at the Hooper-Lee-Nichols House, we invite you to join us for an open house to celebrate the history of this remarkable building and the exciting future of our organization.

Built in 1685, 159 Brattle Street is the second-oldest house in Cambridge and has been our home since 1957. While we bid a fond farewell to this physical space, this strategic move allows us to reallocate our resources toward innovative programming that meets Cambridge residents where they are—in every neighborhood across the city.

Following the open house, please join us for our evening program Seizing Freedom and Creating Community: The Black Experience in West Cambridge. This program exemplifies our commitment to amplifying the diverse voices and overlooked histories that have shaped our city for four centuries.

Please note

The building and grounds at 159 Brattle Street are not handicap accessible. Please contact us (info@historycambridge.org) for more information.
