History Cambridge is thrilled to invite the community to an open house at our temporary pop-up location at 625 Cambridge Street, the former site of the historic Mayflower Poultry, right in the vibrant heart of East Cambridge. We are delighted to be positioned on Cambridge Street, a vital community hub and lifeline, in this fittingly historic space.
Visitors are welcome to drop in and explore a temporary exhibit detailing the fascinating history of industry in East Cambridge, learn more about the neighborhood’s heritage, and share their personal stories and memories with us.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute directly to the historical narrative of East Cambridge. We are actively seeking artifacts, photos, or documents from the neighborhood for potential inclusion in our upcoming community exhibition, so please bring any items you might be willing to share!
This pop-up location, made possible by the incredible support of organizations like the Cambridge Community Foundation and the East Cambridge Business Association, will be operating through the end of the year, and we look forward to meeting you there to celebrate the rich history of this dynamic neighborhood.
