Jimbo Mathus is an award-winning singer-songwriter and guitarist who brought a piece of Cambridge history to the world as head of the band Squirrel Nut Zippers. A native of the American South, Jimbo befriended Hollis G. Gerrish, the owner and president of Squirrel Brand Company of Cambridge, Massachusetts, who allowed the band the use of the name.
