Matt Smith 4: Back when I first started here, there was another songwriter boom going on through the mid- to late nineties, early two thousands. It cycles around, where things got kind of quiet for a while, there wasn’t a lot of new stuff coming through, and now I feel like we’re in another big cycle of great bands coming out of here. I enjoy watching that cycle. It’s just part of me as a born New Englander, like the changing of the seasons. I wouldn’t be able to go to a place where it was the same all the time, it just wouldn’t be interesting. I like that sense of movement. You definitely get that, musically, here.
