Jim Fitting 5: The studios and the clubs and the musicians, those are the three things that have been it for me, that have made this place great. It’s the musicians, all these great musicians, but it’s also having great venues, great clubs, and then the studios, having these studios that I was involved with and playing and recording and having music come out from the recording. You fear that that’s lost. It’s hard to explain about studios because it has changed so much in the last few years. So much recording is done at home, you can record at one place and then send the file over and overdub it somewhere else, whereas when there’s a studio where everybody went it was this great sense of a place, a clubhouse, a community. The studio, the club, and the musicians. The tripod on which the scene was built.
